The library provides materials for Messenger Public Library cardholders of any age that are unable to visit the library due to a temporary or long term disability. Materials are carefully selected by our librarians to reflect your interests, and you may also request specific titles.  We will mail books, magazines, CDs, audiobooks, and DVDs directly to you.

Getting started is easy. Give us a call, and we'll conduct a simple interview to learn about your favorite topics, authors and interests.  We'll mail an eligibility form to your home or residence.  Return it to us by mail.  When we receive it, we'll select your items and send them to you in the mail. Click here to fill out an online request form for service.

In addition to our Homebound Services, those with vision problems may qualify to receive titles available through the Voices of Vision Talking books program. Call 800-426-0709 or visit them at www.illinoistalkingbooks.org.
